Chemical looping gasification (CLG) is a novel dual-fluidized bed technology that allows for the production of high-calorific syngas from various solid feedstocks (e.g., biomass). Solid circulation between two coupled fluidized reactors, serving purpose heat and oxygen transport, key parameter CLG technology, making system hydrodynamics backbone process. This study serves to provide holistic insights into hydrodynamic behavior reactor system. Here, special focus placed on operational principles setup as well entrainment circulating (CFB) latter being driving force inside entire Using an elaborate dataset over 130 operating periods cold flow model 70 1 MWth pilot plant, set ground rules operation presented. Moreover, easily-applicable approach, solely relying readily-available live data, presented validated using data chemical gasifier. Thereby, straightforward estimation any CFB facilitated, thus closing crucial research gap.
